The subscription is priced per station at $29.99 a month. That monthly rate includes the hardware, a lifetime hardware warranty, and SkyTab/Shift4 24/7 tech support. Payment processing is billed separately.
Four things are worth knowing before you sign:
The hardware stays with the provider. There is no upfront hardware cost because you do not own the station. It is supplied for the length of the agreement and goes back at the end of the term. That is what "free hardware" means here.
The term is three years. That is the standard agreement that makes the hardware subsidy possible.
The lifetime warranty does not cover physical damage. If a terminal is dropped and the screen breaks, the warranty does not apply. Wear, faults and replacement of covered hardware do. Nationwide on-site service is available when the issue cannot be resolved remotely. This 24/7 coverage is SkyTab/Shift4 support included in the subscription, not a Smart Payment Solutions help desk.
Processing is billed separately. Your rate depends on card mix and volume, and it is the number that actually moves your monthly total — not the $29.99. Send us a recent statement and we will show you the effective rate side by side.
